I woke up this morning with the idea in my head that I was going to get so much done around the house. Miya on the other hand woke up with another idea. She has become very imaginative lately and decided it was time for us to have a tea party. So I got out her little chairs and table, play food and dishes. She had something completely different in mind. She spread out her blanket on the living room floor and that was the start of our imaginary tea party. We had imaginary dishes and food. I kept getting fed dog food from her, but it was really fun. We ended with our imaginary food fight. I am so grateful for moments where I decide to stop and play with Miya instead of getting caught up in the things I have listed to get done for the day. These are the moments I love as a mother.
We had a BBQ with my family up the canyon this weekend. I have missed the mountains so much while they have been closed for winter. Oops--apparently they still were closed. We didn't realize it until we had already had eaten and had an awesome fire going getting ready to settle in for smores, when some dude in a golf cart came around and told us to put the fire out the picnic sites were closed for a couple more days. But it was so much fun while it lasted and Miya enjoyed herself anyway. (we did sneak in a couple smores before putting the fire out).
In this picture(above) is Ali, my bro, my dad, my mom, Aneesa, my sis, and her boyfriend, Doug.
On Saturday we went swimming as a family and Miya couldn't get enough! She is going to be a swimmer like her daddy.
Damon was telling me about this blog that is completely made up, but gets so many hits that people advertise on it all the time. It pretty much makes fun of moms like me and you, but I think it is so funny, I thought I was going to go into labor reading some of the posts. Some people may get offended by this site, but I think it is just for fun and makes me laugh. Enjoy, let me know what you think...
