Halloween

On Halloween night, we went trick-or-treating with Damon's sister, Chelsea. It was so fun and Miya and Raegan were both princesses. Chelsea had a Halloween Party at her house and it turned out super cute. She is so creative.

Our Pre-Halloween

We ended up celebrating Halloween 3 days in a row. On Thursday, we had a little Halloween Party for our playdate with my cousins Jenni and Denise. We went and visited my Grandma Yates and it seems to have really helped her health seeing all the little kiddies in their costumes.
On Friday, I took the little ones up to Damon's work to trick-or-treat around the office. They were so cute. Miya now expects candy when we go to Damon's work (and the receptionist usually delivers).

October Pics

October has gone by way too fast! We have done so much and I just haven't done much posting. Its a good thing Damon is such a good hubby and is always on top of the milestone moments. We started October out with a spooky supper at Chelsea's and we decorated our haunted gingerbread houses. It was so fun and yummy.

Moon Lake

Last weekend we went to Moon Lake with my family. We have only been camping with Miya once. Until this weekend, I didn't realize how much I love camping and how much I miss the mountains. It was hard work with two kids, but I loved it! The time went by way to fast. There was so much to do, we played at the beach, went on a deer walk, boated, mountain biked, jumped off rocks, roasted mallows, played at the sand pit and spent a lot of time around the campfire enjoying some yummy food and good company! My only complaint was that it was over too soon.

Emma's Special Day

On Sunday, August 30, we had Emma's blessing day. She looked so beautiful in her blessing dress and she was such a good girl all day. Damon did a wonderful job. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us and for bringing all the yummy food. It turned out so nicely.

Hogle Zoo

On Monday, we got an extra day with Ian and Christy, so we decided to go to Hogle Zoo for Ian's birthday. Christy's sister Marci met us there. It was so fun to have them here a little longer! After the zoo we went to dinner at the Tasty Thai and had a birthday party in our backyard. It was a fun ending to the time we got to spend with our New York family!

Cowabunga Bay

We did a little park hopping on Friday. We spent half the day at Cowabunga Bay and the rest of the day at Seven Peaks. It was so fun to play in the water all day. (Thanks Mom for watching Emma while we played.)

A Day at the Beach

I hope I am ready in time

Damon and I have signed up for a 3 mile race on September 19. It doesn't seem like much to some of you amazing runners, I'm sure, but for me it is a challenge. I have not ran forever and I had a baby 6 weeks ago. I decided to run the race to motivate me to run and get in shape again. It has been tough to find the time to train and especially the energy with a newborn still waking me up during the night. It feels great to be working out again... I just hope I can be ready in time so I don't embarrass myself. Come on shoes, we can do it!
