Good Bye 2010,
It was a great year. We of course had our bad moments, but who wants to dwell on those? NOT ME! So much has happened and my girls have grown so much, which is bittersweet. We were able to go on a Carribean cruise and to New York this year. We also have spent many hours remodeling our living room. It feels good to have new electrical in there, it was a fire waiting to happen.

Miya started preschool this year. It is just a small co-op preschool with four little girls, but she loves it and learns so much. She loves being the big sister. She actually gets quite bored during Emma's nap every day. She was a sunbeam this year and loves going to primary. She got a new "big girl" bed this year and bed time has actually been so much easier because of the new bed. (or maybe it was the new bedtime routine we set up with the new bed) Let's just pretend it was the magic bed. ;) Miya is all girl. She loves to play. Every minute is something new. Her imagination is always going wild with ideas. She loves to sing (some of the songs she makes up and can be quite crazy.) And she also loves to dance. This girl has got some moves we are going to have to keep our eyes on when she is a teen. YIKES! She is so sweet and always says the funniest things. I don't know what we would ever do without her. She is such a blessing. I love her so much!

Emma is now seventeen months and talks a lot (most of which we understand, but some is jibberish)! She follows Miya everwhere and loves to copy everything she does. She likes to shake her booty and sing the last word to each line in every song. She really got into the Christmas music this year. I would have to say her favorite song right now is Single Ladies by Beyonce. Yup! What kind of a bad mom am I? It really should be wheels on the bus or something. Oh well. Emma also loves to eat. Any time I say, "Who's hungry?" she will come running and throw her hands in the air and say, "ME!!!" She also loves to turn everything into a hat by putting it on her head. It is cute as long as it doesn't contain something messy, (like food). She is such a joy to have around and I could go on and on about her, but I will spare you and save it for my personal mommy journal.

Me, well, I have been busy doing the same thing. Being just a mom. WHAT!? Just a mom? Am I ever just a mom? Yeah, right. I am a mom, a teacher, a MAID, a cook, a nurse, a wife, a driver, a shopper, a couponer....you get the picture. I am always busy doing something. Sometimes it gets repetitive, but it helps to have cute kids and a loving husband to break it all up. I love to teach Miya's preschool. I have also read lots of books. That always makes me happy. (I am always up for good recommends btw). I have been compassionate service coordinator for our ward and I absolutely love the calling. It is so good to serve, so rewarding, plus it is fun to be the first to find out when the babies are born. ;) I also got to be a bridesmaid 3 different times in the past year for each of my siblings weddings. It is crazy that they are all married now.(and all in the same year. THAT was crazy) It was a pretty good year, I can't complain.

Damon is still working in Farmington. He loves what he does but of course there are always days where the job becomes a "job." He started out the year as the executive secretary for our ward and is now the 2nd counselor in the bishopric. It has been a really good calling for him. He learns so much from the great people he serves with. He is always really busy, but still manages to find time to spend with us. There is always something around the house that he is working on too. I think he gets that from his dad. Damon is such a hard worker and does so much for our family. We love him! (I know I should leave the cheesy stuff for us at home, but it is fun to publicly admit how much we love our Damon).

Thanks for the great year! I love the surprises, the good and the bad, that come with each year. We learn so much and learn to love even more. We are excited for what 2011 will bring! So... to our new friend, 2011. I say, "BRING IT ON!" We can't wait.
Love to all our friends, and anyone who still reads this after my long absence from blogging.
